All puppy sales must be made in person & face- to-face. Both Purchaser and Breeder must be present during the sale of puppy/dog. This gives the opportunity for the purchaser to observe & see the puppy before taking it into his/her custody. Chihuahuapaws does not offer shipping on any puppies/dogs. If you are arranging a third party such as a pet nanny or friend to pick up for you they will act as the purchaser for you. Breeder can not be held responsible for any illness, injury, or wellbeing of said puppy while in the care of a third party purchaser.
A $_________NON-refundable holding fee is required to hold puppy that will be applied towards purchase price. Puppy must be paid in full at 8 weeks of age, before or upon pick up of the puppy. Pick up is when puppies turn 8 weeks of age. If Purchaser cannot pick up by 8 weeks of age an agreed upon date of pick up must be made prior to 8 weeks of age. Breeder does not hold puppies past 10 weeks of age & deposits are non-refundable. Cash will be accepted for final payment of the puppy during pick up. Failure of the Purchaser to complete this purchase would subject Breeder to lost opportunities to sell the puppy to other potential families and retention of the holding fee is meant to compensate Breeder for lost opportunities to sell the puppy or find a suitable home in a timely manner.
The puppy is sold current on vaccinations (first puppy shot only given around 6 weeks), de-wormings, nails clipped and is bathed prior to going to its new home. Purchaser understands and agrees to follow up with puppy booster vaccines to ensure their puppy has the best chance at being protected against vaccine preventable diseases. The recommended protocol for follow up vaccination will be giving booster vaccines 3-4 weeks apart from each other until the puppy series is complete per your vet. Follow up should be around 10 weeks of age & 14-16 weeks of age. Purchaser agrees to space out the rabies vaccine from any core boosters & understands lepto vaccines are not recommend for chihuahuas. Purchaser understands puppies aren't fully protected against vaccine preventable diseases until several weeks after ALL puppy series are complete. Purchaser agrees to protect and limit outside exposure & travel until puppy is fully vaccinated.

The puppy is guaranteed to be sound of health for up to 72 hours from the time of pick up. It is MANDATORY that the puppy be taken to your vet within the 72 hours of leaving the Breeder's home for this guarantee to be valid. This is so you have documentation that you purchased a healthy puppy! Breeder is not responsible for any vet fee that may incur, this is the purchaser's responsibility. Puppy should be quarantined from all other household pets until examined by a licensed veterinarian. Within the 72 hour health guarantee period if puppy, upon examination by Purchaser’s veterinarian is diagnosed with a debilitating or life-threatening illness it is required that the Breeder is to be notified immediately by Purchaser by both phone and email along with a written letter and phone consult from the diagnosing veterinarian before refund is given. Purchaser also understands that there are no refunds until puppy is returned to breeder first. If the puppy does not get it's mandatory Vet check up, this 72 hr guarantee is NULL and VOID.
Purchaser agrees to notify breeder immediately of any issues, sickness, or problems through out first year of puppy/dog's life so a plan of action can be discussed & help from breeder can be provided promptly. This is so I have the opportunity to help you and give advice! Purchaser agrees to never euthanize said puppy/dog without Breeder's knowledge and consent for the first year of life for the 1 year health guarantee to be valid.
The puppy is guaranteed against life threatening congenital/genetic defects until 1 yr of age. Should it die within the guaranteed time period as a result of a life threatening congenital defect, said puppy will be replaced upon proof of necropsy, veterinary documentation, vet certificate with explanation of congenital defect along with a picture of deceased puppy emailed directly to the Breeder. Purchaser understands that it may take up to 12 or more months for there to be a replacement puppy available if Breeder is actively breeding. Breeder has the right to rest the Dams and Purchaser understands there are only so many planned breedings each year. No monetary refunds are available past the 72 hour quarantine. No exceptions.
Purchaser agrees to provide timely veterinary care for any illness or injury incurred throughout the lifetime of puppy. Purchaser understands and agrees that Breeder is in no way financially responsible for any veterinary expenses or bills acquired throughout the lifetime of the puppy/dog. Purchaser understands it is strongly recommended to provide health insurance for puppy for any unexpected expenses throughout lifetime of puppy. Purchaser agrees to provide a healthy & safe environment for puppy. This includes a fenced in yard & taking precaution against predators such as hawks & fox. It is recommended that you never leave your puppy unattended outside. It is also recommended you don't allow your puppy unnecessary exposure to dog parks, pet stores, vet office floors, or front yards where other dogs defecate.
The purchaser agrees that under NO circumstances will this puppy be re-sold or surrendered to an animal shelter. In the event that the purchaser cannot keep the puppy the purchaser understands breeder will always take back puppy/dog no matter the age or circumstance. No monetary refunds are given if surrendering puppy/dog back to breeder. In special circumstances breeder may be able to help facilitate rehoming.
The purchaser agrees that if said puppy is sold unaltered "as a pet" it should NOT be bred without consent from breeder. The purchaser agrees to SPAY/NUETER said puppy on or before 7 months of age. (Purchasers who have strong belief of spay/neuter past 1 year must discuss this with breeder to make an exception to agreement). The purchaser understands that registration on a pet puppy is not guaranteed & purebred status is not guaranteed on the hybrid lines. The purchaser agrees that if breeding is desired it will be discussed before the purchase of new puppy/dog so breeder can help facilitate the best candidate/breeding quality.
