FAQ:
~How much? All of our puppies are priced individually according to overall quality, structure, pedigree, size, gender & color or pattern. We strive for quality puppies with short noses, nice shape heads, cobby bodies, with flashy unique color or patterns. Most of the puppies will alway stay between 2-6 lb .
~Are they teacup? Teacup is just a term some people use to describe the runts or tiny ones in the litter. Most of our chihuahuas will be within the standard of the breed which is 2-6 lb. We get tiny ones often that mature in 2-3 lb zone however, we do not specifically breed for tiny. There is no separate breed of chihuahuas called TEACUP, please do your research on this term how it pertains to chihuahuas. Sometimes in the same litter you will have one charting 3 lb as an adult while a sibling is charting 5lb.
~Can I come play with and pick out my puppy? We do not allow casual visits because it opens us up to an increased risk of communicable puppy viruses, bacteria, bad intentions of people, theft, & or worse. We apologize for any inconvenience. In lieu of visits we are happy to FaceTime, Skype, send pictures, videos, & several references of past puppy customers as well as a vet reference!

~Holding fees/reservations are only accepted once we have gotten to know each family in depth and they are approved for adoption. We take a very personal approach to matching each puppy with it's new home. Holding fees are only accepted once I feel like it's a perfect match & all terms are agreed upon. Sometimes we accept holding fees soon after birth & sometimes it takes up to 3-4 weeks to find the right match. Please be aware that our puppies are NOT first come first serve and when we have multiple families interested in the same puppy we take into consideration several factors before choosing the family that is the best for our babies!!
~Once given the go ahead, we can hold the puppy of your choice with a reservation/holding fee in place. We will often work with the holding fee amount, just ask. We can NOT hold any puppies with a 'promise' of payment, the holding fee is the only thing that reserves your puppy! Holding fees are NON-refundable, NO exceptions. Failure of the Purchaser to complete the purchase of the puppy would subject Breeder to lost opportunities to get to know other potential families and retention of the holding fee is meant to compensate Breeder for lost opportunities to find a suitable home in a timely manner. The holding fee amount goes towards the total purchase price. Once holding fee is received, photographs and updates are sent every weekend! We only approve families that have demonstrated to us that they are ready for a long term commitment and take a very dedicated approach to assist each family in choosing the perfect chihuahua puppy that meets their needs!
~We normally DO NOT sell puppies with breeding rights or full rights. All quoted prices are for pet only no papers. Puppies come on a spay/neuter contract. If breeding is desired, it must be discussed before puppy placement is considered!
~Our puppies are raised underfoot, never caged or isolated. They are part of our family and are well socialized with outgoing, loving personalities!
~We let the puppies self-wean and offer food as soon as they show interest. Most puppies begin venturing out of their whelping box around 3-4 weeks of age and begin licking can food or snacking on kibble w/ with mom. They also start using the pee pad around this age as well. Most of my puppies are well on their way to being pee pad trained by 8 weeks of age :) Puppies get their first vaccine @6 weeks and a several de-wormings before going to their new homes.
~Our puppies come with a health guarantee against death from any congenital disease or defect until 1 year of age. To read about this in detail please read over our contract. While we work hard to ensure all of our puppies are in excellent health for the lifetime of each dog, we also strongly recommend health insurance coverage for any unexpected injuries, illness, or circumstances that could arise. Breeder is in no way responsible for vet care or expenses anytime after purchase of your new puppy.
~Final payments are due upon pick up of your puppy in cash.
~Puppies are ready for their new homes at 8 weeks of age. Payments and pick up arrangements must be made before or at 8 weeks of age or unless otherwise agreed upon.
~All new puppy owners must pick up their puppy IN PERSON. We do not allow any sight un-seen sales. WE DO NOT SHIP OUR BABIES IN CARGO! If you are out of state and would like to fly into Austin, TX, I can meet at my airport so you can pick up your puppy and fly home with your new baby under your seat.
~Adopting a new puppy is a big commitment and shouldn't be taken lightly. Please be committed and 100% sure you are ready for a puppy before you buy! Buying on a whim or buying as a surprise gift is not allowed from Chihuahua paws. A new puppy requires around the clock care much like a new born baby. Are you ready for night time cuddles?, 24 hr potty training?, does your place of residence allow pets?, have you thought about where your puppy will go if you need to travel?, do you work long hours or go to school?, can you provide vet care and a stable home?... Please think about these things when purchasing a new puppy!!
~If at anytime throughout the lifetime of your puppy, you can not keep & or give him/her a proper home or do not want the puppy you are REQUIRED to notify me immediately so arrangements can be made for me to TAKE BACK the puppy/adult dog (no refunds). NO EXCEPTIONS!
